Vis­it­ors to the gal­lery were invited to ask the artist, Mar­cus Coates ques­tions that pre­oc­cu­pied them and struggled to answer them­selves. This paint­ing is his answer to the ques­tion, ​“How can I make oblig­a­tions to fam­ily a valu­able exper­i­ence for me?” 

The Bang­gai Crow, once thought extinct was redis­covered in 2009 on Indonesia’s Peleng Island.
